Actually, the one positive point should be a negative point as well, as battling AI has a nasty choice. Once you're done with the "story", you obviously want to duel AI of your choice with a deck of your choice. Problem: you are either forced to use a theme deck but you can choose the AI to battle, or you can use any deck you want but you battle a random AI. So, you must choose between being able to play with a deck you want (unless it's an unmodified theme deck you want), or play the AI you want. You can't have both!

That particular part may damage the value of the overall playing experience of this game. However, I think that this game, Triforce Shards or not, still wouldn't beat Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time in my list of "Favorite Legend of Zelda title". Even though Ocarina of time had its minor pains. One I can remember distinctively was using the Iron Boots in the Water Temple. I haven't used the Pause menu so many times in my life. Though I guess it couldn't compete with the "Triforce Shards" portion of this game.

I've actually never seen anyone bring up the Triforce Shards when discussion led to this game though, so I'm actually glad someone finally brought it up. It definitely was a "Painful Moment in Gaming".

Making a Mario game more challenging is far from a difficult matter! Does anyone remember Super Mario Land? Ah yes, it wasn't the easiest game. If you played it through once, and THEN immediately started again--BOOM! HARD MODE! This time around enemy counts were drastically increased. It was fun!

For newest Mario games, then could add a "hard mode" where they simply add more enemies, and various types or more aggressive enemies (such as replacing some Goombas with some Hammer Bros.). I'm just saying. ;)

Hello again Josh. Sorry for the LATE reply. I forgot to bookmark this reply, though i just learned that Open ID keeps track of replies. How cool!

Ok, I can understand that point of view, as it is similar to how I feel about Final Fantasy VII being on the best games of all time. It's a great game, but one of the best is questionable. It simply has a lot to do with it being my first RPG, first FF, and it was madly popular with all my friends around that time. Therefore, the added found memories and emotional attachment to the game transcends the mere by-the-score rating for gameplay. I also bought a few soundtracks. ^o^

I played OoT and loved it so much that I might even play it again on 3DS (or a future remake) someday. +1 Bucket List indeed.

Yes! I see NO reason why games can NOT let the player select the difficulty from the beginning! Originally unlocking a harder difficulty was created to increase reply value but, games are longer and gamers are much busier these days with less time to play! Therefore, this archaic lack of choice should be dissolved! (That's the most vocab I've used in weeks! ha!)

Like I said, I heard Persona 4 was better but, I'd still ask around the net.

Thx for the reply! :)

I just got done with my second play though. My goodness I can simply not get over this experience... I am an fps grinding - horror movie loving - rip snorting - two sportbike owning - ball of testosterone fueled angst (at times) and I simply turn into a child full of awe while playing. I saw my first white robe today and again was blown away. But I did not understand the cues. I finished a few minuets ago, and I must say my first ending with a partner I met half way and bonded the whole last half with, brought me to tears. This is truly a powerful experience. And I want my white robe!
